The Super Hero Taisen Series (スーパーヒーロー大戦シリーズ Supā Hīrō Taisen Shirīzu?, Super Hero War Series) is a new group of moviesIcon-crosswiki that serve as crossovers between Toei Company's superhero productions.

In the run-up to the first Super Hero Taisen, producer Shinichiro Shirakura said he would like to make this type of movie the norm for spring films.

Currently all five movies are written by Shoji YonemuraIcon-crosswiki. For the directors, the first two films and the fifth are directed by Osamu KanedaIcon-crosswiki, while the third and fourth were directed by Takayuki ShibasakiIcon-crosswiki.

Following the production of Net Movies to accompany the release of OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen RidersIcon-crosswiki (2011), both Super Hero Taisen and Super Hero Taisen Z had their own series of Net Movies, Super Hero Taihen and Super Hero Taisen Otsu respectively. While a tradition for Kamen Rider Series Summer MoviesIcon-crosswiki since Kamen Rider KivaIcon-crosswiki, these Super Hero Taisen Net Movies featured a new chance for Super Sentai characters to participate following their own attempt at Summer Net MoviesIcon-crosswiki alongside Kiva failing to start the tradition for their own Summer MoviesIcon-crosswiki. However, a series of Net Movies were not made to accompany Kamen Rider Taisen and later films.

Since their beginning, the franchise releases a film, at the very most, two weeks after their magical girl counterpart Pretty Cure All Stars.
