Space Squad (スペース・スクワッド Supēsu Sukuwaddo) is a franchise that serve as a crossover between the revival of the Metal HeroesIcon-crosswiki and the Super SentaiIcon-crosswiki.

In an interview with Tom ConstantineIcon-crosswiki, director Koichi SakamotoIcon-crosswiki revealed that Kyuranger vs. Space Squad is regarded as "Episode 1.5" of Space Squad as opposed to Episode 2, which would come later.[1]

Radio DramaEdit

A radio drama was broadcast from May 12, 2017 to June 16, 2017 as a collaboration project with Toei's radio program, Toei's Official Kenichi Suzumura & Hiroshi Kamiya's Kamen Radiranger (東映公認 鈴村健一・神谷浩史の仮面ラジレンジャー Tōei Kōnin Suzumura Ken'ichi Kamiya Hiroshi no Kamen Rajirenjā). It consist of six episodes written by Naruhisa Arakawa.

All six episodes were compiled into two separate arcs. The first is Dekaranger ChapterIcon-crosswiki (デカレンジャー編 Dekarenjā-hen), featuring Yousuke ItoIcon-crosswiki as Sen'ichi "Sen-chan" EnariIcon-crosswiki and Mika KikuchiIcon-crosswiki as Koume "Umeko" KudouIcon-crosswiki while the second arc is Gavan ChapterIcon-crosswiki (ギャバン編 Gyaban-hen), featuring Yuma IshigakiIcon-crosswiki as Geki JumonjiIcon-crosswiki and Suzuka MoritaIcon-crosswiki as ShellyIcon-crosswiki. Radio personalities Kenichi Suzumura and Hiroshi Kamiya made their guest appearances as Mysterious Beast HyoihyoiIcon-crosswiki (不思議獣ヒョイヒョイ Fushigi-jū Hyoihyoi) and Suppanian ParapanIcon-crosswiki (スッパン星人パラパン Suppan Seijin Parapan) respectively.
